NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe praises Azerbaijan’s contribution to Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan

NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe Curtis Scaparrotti has hailed Azerbaijan’s contribution to the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan as he met with the acting head of Azerbaijan's mission in NATO Gaya Mammadov. Scaparrotti appreciated Azerbaijan’s progress achieved in partnership with NATO. He said NATO commends President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his decision to send additional troops to Resolute Support operation in Afghanistan. Mammadov highlighted defense reforms carried out in Azerbaijan and measures taken to ensure mutual operational coordination with NATO, as well as the situation in the region. Source: Azertag.az
