The Caspian Policy Center has collected data from the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan to determine Azerbaijan's population growth trend since 1991. Since establishing independence in 1991, Azerbaijan's population has steadily grown from 7,218,500 in 1991 to 10,127,100 in 2023. Although the population remained stagnant between 2021 and 2023, overall, there has been a drastic population increase of 40.3% between 1991 and 2023.
