The Caspian Policy Center has collected data from the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Interstate Statistics Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States to determine Kyrgyzstan's population growth trend from 1991 to 2023. Kyrgyzstan's population has grown from 4,424,900 in 1991 to 7,037,000 in 2023, a 59% increase since establishing independence in 1991. The population growth in Kyrgyzstan was relatively modest from 1991 to 2011, but after 2011, Kyrgyzstan's population rapidly increased from 5,477,600 in 2011 to 7,037,000 in 2023.
