Kazakhstan Population Trend

The Caspian Policy Center has collected data from Kazakhstan's National Bureau of Statistics and the Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States to determine Kazakhstan's population growth trend since 1991. After establishing independence, Kazakhstan's population was 16,358,200 in 1991, and this number decreased to 14,865,600 by 2001. However, despite the population decrease in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Kazakhstan's population has steadily grown, and the data collected by the Caspian Policy Center shows Kazakhstan's population peaked in 2023 and reached 19,776,800, a growth of 20.9% since 1991.
