Roundtable Discussion: Enhancing Trans-Caspian connectivity through maritime infrastructure development and coordination

Please join the Caspian Policy Centre for a conversation with the Director-General of the Baku International Sea and Trade Port, Taleh Ziyadov. The Caspian Policy Centre is proud to host Taleh Ziyadov for a roundtable event to discuss the development of sustainable infrastructure across the Middle Corridor, regional connectivity, and the improvement of trans-Caspian infrastructure.

The Middle Corridor has great potential to become one of Europe’s primary trade routes and sources of energy. The emerging trade route offers a resolution to sanction-compliance issues, access to new markets, and new opportunities for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) engagements in logistics, transportation, and infrastructure construction. However, enhancing the capacity and operational efficiency of the Middle Corridor requires a significant focus on improving transport infrastructure and regional cooperation. This discussion will focus on the role the Port of Baku can play in building a more sustainable Middle Corridor.

Moderator:

  • Mr. James Sharp, Advisory Board Member, Caspian Policy Center
